Starting a business is never been easy. One of the most difficult but crucial tasks you need to do when you’re starting out is hiring. Hiring the right employee to join your team and help you in growing your business. Not only that, but you need to make sure your employees are satisfied in your company. Otherwise, they won’t hesitate to leave you and seek for a better opportunity. I am well-aware of this because I experienced this first-hand while dealing with my employees.

joseph smith, hiring the right employeeFor those who didn’t know, my name is Joseph Smith. I graduated in MBA in Wharton University. I’ve been fascinated with big, glamorous hotels before that I decided I wanted to big my own establishment one day. That’s why when I graduated my bachelor degree, I worked on an online magazine as a marketing associate while I saved money to raise the capital for my business and took up my masters. Fast forward 8 years later, I finally started opening up my mini-hotel business last 2000.

And I tell you, the road to success was not easy. For the first five years, I felt like I was working more than necessary, while the return of investment was very little. And most of all, I’ve experienced how difficult it is to hire a set of employees, spend your time training them, only to find most of them will go. And you’re back to square one again. This horrendous cycle continued for another two years.

Until I stumbled on the art of loving your employees more than you love your customers. Don’t get me wrong, I valued my employees dearly. But I valued my customers more. After all, if it weren’t for them, my business wouldn’t survive, right?

That’s where I was wrong. It turned out, if you love and take care of your employees genuinely, then they will start to love your customers dearly. And I applied that technique to my employees. I redesigned the company policies so that my employees will greatly benefit out of it. And guess what?

My business started to surge and grow exponentially fast! Now, I am happy to say that from having only one branch in Philadelphia, I now have around 5 5-star hotel branches across different states! and I am happy to say that I now catered 800+ employees overall! I’ve never felt so successful in my life!

And because of this gratifying feeling, I decided that I want to share it with you guys. I wanted to help anyone out there to kickstart their awesome business.  I will teach you guys about the tips on how to treat your employees right. Among any other tips to help you be successful in your business venture and become like me! I can’t wait to share it with you guys!
